We provided a detailed structural design service for this project, with a clear focus on delivering a cost-effective solution that maintained both the quality of the building and full compliance with Building Regulations. At the client’s request, we applied value engineering principles throughout the design process, carefully selecting the most efficient construction materials and techniques. By utilizing the external walls and internal spine walls as primary load bearing elements, we significantly reduced the need for structural steel work. Additionally, we proposed the use of traditional trench fill foundations as a practical and economical solution. These design strategies resulted in substantial cost savings for the client without compromising structural integrity or regulatory compliance.
